10+ Gluten-free friendly Cafés & Restaurants in Munich (Germany)

Growing up in Munich in the south of Germany, I am happy to see now that gluten-free options in shops, restaurants and cafés are consistently increasing. Still, as a celiac I always check the menu and the reviews before I eat at a new place and, unfortunately, you can not rely on the waiters to always know and offer a good and safe gluten-free alternative.

Therefore, I share with you my (growing) map with my favourite gluten-free friendly locations to visit in Munich! It contains only places I can recommend also regarding contamination and mostly have tried out myself. Of course, there are a lot more possibilities, as long as you are sure about the ingredients and explain it again to the waiters when you order regarding contamination. But I can imagine that it can be overwhelming, especially if you do not speak German, so I hope the map can give you some relaxation :-) .

The best thing about it is that it includes some restaurants that offer traditional Bavarian dishes!
